Tizoc DeAztlan is the President of DEAZTLAN CONSULTING, LLC and has spent the majority of his career consulting and advising Southern California government, nonprofit, private and corporate agencies. He has consulted and managed public relations, community outreach, and media campaigns at the federal, state and local levels.

Tizoc specializes in project and issue-based management, spearheading programs regarding water, energy, land use, culture, health, wellness and education.

A go to person for coalition building and partnership creation, Tizoc maintains a consistent and measured community-centered approach. His adeptness at understanding all angles and creating the best option for advancement has led to a long track record of wins, and works with prominent agencies and top officials.

In 2013, Tizoc co-founded and produced the highly popular Run with Los Muertos, a Día de los Muertos 5K and block party annually held in the City of Coachella. Now preparing for its eighth year, this unique health and culture-focused event, in partnership with dozens of community agencies, benefits youth art and is expected to once again bring thousands of runners and spectators to Old Town Coachella this fall.

Tizoc is an alumnus of Fordham University where he studied journalism and earned his degree in Communications and Media Studies. Tizoc has served as spokesman and conducts media and community outreach in both English and Spanish.
