DeAztlan Consulting is led by Tizoc DeAztlan. Tizoc has spent the majority of his career consulting and advising Southern California government, non-profit, and corporate agencies. He has consulted and managed political and issue based campaigns at the federal, state, and local levels.

Tizoc began his career as a researcher conducting field interviews for the internationally recognized RAND Corporation and has continued privately managing research projects for The Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles and other Civic and Private Business’.

In 2010, Tizoc’s extensive study of US Census Data and his work on the impacts of Redistricting uniquely placed him as an expert in the field. As a result, Tizoc consulted on the California Legislative redistricting efforts for the Latino Caucus, for individual legislators, and managed and produced a full cycle Redistricting Project for Central Basin Municipal Water District in Los Angeles.

Most recently, Tizoc served as Public Relations and Media Consultant for Assemblymember V. Manuel Perez AD-56, and launched the political career of Congressman Raul Ruiz CA-36, having designed and executed from origin to national prominence the candidacy, campaign team, and vision.

Most importantly, as a native of Southern California, Tizoc has a keen understanding of the demographic, cultural, historical, and political landscape of the Region. He has a firm network of relationships with regional elected officials, with community leaders and is astute in strategic coalition building.

A public relations professional, Tizoc has an uncanny ability to communicate corporate and civic principles to community members. Transversely, Tizoc can communicate and coach high level executives on market and political landscapes. Tizoc has served as spokesman and has conducted media outreach in both English and Spanish.

Tizoc is an alumnus of Fordham University where he studied Journalism and earned a B.A. in Communications and Media Studies.
